RESEARCH FELLOWS - fourth call
Meet the Fourth Call - Research Fellows. Know a little more about their backgrounds and their projects.
Rong Sun is a Research Fellow at INL funded by Marie Curie COFUND. She works in the Nanostructured Materials research group at the Department of Advanced Electron Microscopy Imaging and Spectroscopy. Her research is focussed on understanding structure-property interplay of low-dimensional materials at the atomic scale by employing advanced electron microscopy techniques.
Zhixin Tai is a Marie Curie COFUND Research Fellow at the Department of Quantum and Energy Materials and works in the Nanomaterials for Energy Storage and Conversion Group. His research revolves around the synthesis and investigation of the few-layered nanomaterials for the electrode materials of the alkali metal ions battery.
Sanna Sillankorva is a Research Fellow at INL funded by a Marie-Curie COFUND. She works in the Department of Life Science within the Nano4Health group. She holds a PhD degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Minho, Portugal, that included visiting periods at the Universities of Oulu and Helsinki, Finland. Her PhD focused on the use of bacteriophages to control bacterial biofilms.
Alejandro Molina-Sánchez is a research fellow (MSCA-COFUND) at the Quantum & Energy Materials department, in the group of Theory of Quantum Nanostructures. He is a theoretical physicist working in the interface of materials science and condensed-matter physics. His research deals with optical and magnetic properties of novel two-dimensional materials.
Manuel Caño-García is a research fellow (MSCA-COFUND) at the Nanophotonics department. His research revolves around the development of active photonics integrated circuits (PICs) with metamaterials or photonics crystals technologies for bio- sensing.
Isabel Rodríguez Amado is a Research Fellow at INL funded by a Marie-Curie COFUND. She works at the Department of Life Sciences, within the Food Processing research group.
