RESEARCH FELLOWS - fourth call
Meet the Fourth Call - Research Fellows. Know a little more about their backgrounds and their projects.
Joice Sophia Ponraj is a Research Fellow at Department of Micro and Nanofabrication associated with the Microfabrication and Exploratory Nanotechnology (MeN) group. Her research project at INL is aimed at the realization of miniaturized gas sensors from two-dimensional nanosheets and to understand their hybrid devices.
Manuel Caño-García is a research fellow (MSCA-COFUND) at the Nanophotonics department. His research revolves around the development of active photonics integrated circuits (PICs) with metamaterials or photonics crystals technologies for bio- sensing.
Rong Sun is a Research Fellow at INL funded by Marie Curie COFUND. She works in the Nanostructured Materials research group at the Department of Advanced Electron Microscopy Imaging and Spectroscopy. Her research is focussed on understanding structure-property interplay of low-dimensional materials at the atomic scale by employing advanced electron microscopy techniques.
Loukya Boddapati joined INL as a Marie Curie COFUND Research Fellow. She is working in the Nanostructured Materials research group at the Department of Advanced Electron Microscopy Imaging and Spectroscopy. Her research is focussed on exploring the atomic-scale imaging and spectroscopy techniques in a transmission electron microscope for studying atomically thin layered transition metal chalcogenides which have several potential applications.
Sanna Sillankorva is a Research Fellow at INL funded by a Marie-Curie COFUND. She works in the Department of Life Science within the Nano4Health group. She holds a PhD degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Minho, Portugal, that included visiting periods at the Universities of Oulu and Helsinki, Finland. Her PhD focused on the use of bacteriophages to control bacterial biofilms.
